- Block Party - East Side is throwing a party – a block party for the neighborhood near the church. We are planning special events and activities for kids and adults. Please read through the enclosed insert and indicate all the ways you would like to help, then place it in the offering plate. Bring your donations to the church beginning Monday, July 21, and place them in the gym. The Walgreen’s Store at 38th and Scatterfield Road is offering a 15% discount for any school supplies bought for the 2008 Neighborhood Block Party. Manager Matt Hoffman says you will need to check out in Cosmetics or Photo to get the discount.
- All-Church Picnic Sunday, August 3 immediately following the 10:45am worship - Come together as the whole East Side Church to enjoy an All-Church picnic. The church will supply the hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks. Please bring a couple of your favorite side dishes (salad, casserole, veggies, dessert, etc.) so there will be plenty to share. Suggested cost is $2 per person, maximum of $10 per family. Come join in the fun and fellowship!
